NaTour4CChange: The Kick-Off Meeting

Mar 6, 2024

The kick-off meeting of the NaTour4CChange project was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The Project, which started on January 1st, 2024, is financed as part of the Interreg Euro-MED program and has a total duration of 33 months.
The project’s main focus is on managing sustainable tourism in areas with high ecological value by connecting tourism and nature to solve the climate crisis through an ecosystem-based approach. The project will establish common methods that enable participating regions to assess their tourism-related climate adaptation and mitigation priorities and to take climate action through plans and strategies supported by cooperative governance. In coastal destinations, cross-sectoral teams will create specific tourism climate action plans focusing on climate adaptation, where nature-based solutions will be tested to ensure their feasibility, supported by innovative marketing and communication approaches.
