The 1st Pilot destination exchange workshop focuses on presenting progress and sharing experiences in the drafting of Pilot Destination Climate Action Plans (3.4), including the identification – among the listed NbS – of the one identified as the most effective to tackle one of the main coastal tourism-related issues concerning climate change already identified within Deliverable 3.3.

The project envisages the organisation of three Pilot Destination Exchange workshops to facilitate peer-to-peer learning at key stages in the implementation of the project.

To ensure the exchange of experiences and the capitalisation of good practices, one of the project’s objectives is to promote dialogue across its different pilot destinations. The aim of these workshops is to foster peer learning and inspire action.
While each destination operates within its own unique context and is at a different stage in implementing NbS for climate action planning in tourism, they share common challenges and barriers. By engaging in mutual exchange, destinations can learn from one another’s experiences and jointly develop more effective solutions.
